The Little Miss & Mister Contest is back at State Line Heritage Days with a fresh 2026 theme: “This Is Me.” This year’s contest is all about celebrating personality, confidence, creativity, and community spirit. Instead of focusing on formal costumes or pageant-style presentation, children are encouraged to simply be themselves and share something they enjoy, love, or are proud of.
Open to children ages 4 to 7, this relaxed and positive event gives each participant a chance to introduce themselves, share their age, answer a fun question from the emcee, and take a simple walk across the stage in an outfit that makes them feel comfortable and confident. Depending on the number of participants and available time, children may also have the option to share a short talent or bring something meaningful for a quick show-and-tell.
Every child will be recognized for participating, with special lighthearted awards such as Bright Spirit Award, Most Creative, Big Smile Award, and Kindness Award. Traditional titles will also continue with Little Miss 2026 and Little Mister 2026.
This event is designed to be fun, encouraging, and full of smiles as we celebrate the unique personality of each child. Contestants must be pre-registered. Winners must participate in the Saturday parade.
